we need more breaks, but not the boring wanky breaks that I always hear being played... no Meat Katie and no boring plod-step breaks... no boring Florida breaks with old dried up 909 kick drums... let's hear some crazy Buckfunk 3000 and Tipper or some harder more interesting breaks like DJ Mutiny or Distortionz or The Breakfastaz... at the very least let's hear some classy breaks of the Hybrid and BT variety! also, for those who wanted tech house... check out Tribeca or The Plaza on Wednesday and The Lotus on Thursday... Wednesday is more funky stuff and Thursday is darker stuff... good crowd and good times at both places |

second of all... the reason that nobody goes to hardcore events is that hardcore is quite possibly the most bunk form of music known to man... you may say that I'm being ignorant and that I should really give it a chance... but I've heard hardcore being played by tons of different people who all thought they knew all about great hardcore and every single time it has been crappy over-amped kickdrums with wanky hardhouse synths and stupid angry vocals laid overtop of it all... it's aural torture to have to hear even 10 seconds of hardcore of any variety not one person who plays hardcore has ever given me a good reason that it's a good style of music... not one sound that they enjoy hearing in their music... it's always the same old 'you're not tough enough to be able to handle hardcore, that's why you don't like it' well fine, I'll go listen to music that has enjoyable sounds in it, and you can keep listening to your music that makes you tougher than everyone else... just don't bring it anywhere near me for God's sake /unrant |
