HUGE breaks CHOON alert!!! (Plumps new track)

since Kraigery posted his last "chune", I thought Id 1 up him and post a real monter hehe. This track will see everyones box with 2 tracks on it that are amazing in their own ways. The Plumps have changed the face of funky breaks and they are back in a big way busting some new shit reminicent of their early bombs. I was waiting for them to bring it back...

the first track is meh. TB303 sounds are a bit played IMO. they're sitll good sounds in moderation.

Altho the track on the flip is pretty tight. Funked up!

Yeah... I heard this the other day as well... Out of the two, it's all about the B-Side with that bassline... that would probably sound sick on a big system.

yup, that b-side song has got more funk than any other breaks track Ive heard in a while. P-funk style, thats the way I like it. Sick funky basslines that keep on changing up.
The plumps may have not been making the music that you feel but it doesnt mean theyve gone downhill. Theyre production is still top notch and they make original shit. The crappy flavor of the month remixes is whats killing breaks. These guys havent broke down and made remixes to sell reconds. They have made a couple but they are all done tastefully and distinctly different from the original.

Anyways, I cant wait for mine to come in the mail as I too would love to hear the whole track and how it progresses.

I agree... A great example of a solid remix production quality wise was Donna Kebab - I Feel For You (Plump DJ's Remix). It's got that Plump sound with top quality production all'round!

my thoughts exactly, and the shitty thing about something like this (decent new breaks tracks) is that its going to get played out in about a month, and instead of becoming a "classic" it'll be a anthem and be forgotten about

I wonder if when you are saying that "their sound is played out" that you are saying it b/c its the Plumps. But if it was someone else, it would be a "dope" track. If you heard this track without a name to it, you wouldnt have a snowballs chance in hell knowing who it was. Would it be played out then? Damn, how is it played out when its a new song with a new sound that no other track has? Its not played out.
This track will sell at the shops just like everyone of their other tracks sold.

i said "for me there sound is played out" which is my personal opinion ,and if i had heard the track without knowing it was the plumps i still wouldnt be into it as i think the sounds are weak and dated and the artist has done nothing inspiring with the sounds!

but your right it well sell in the shops because ITS THE PLUMPS!
