I've seen that grinder at Sanctuary... one day a guy really drunk and pissed off is going to grind someone's spine with that thing... also the fact that once at Sanctuary and once at infected I got hit with shrapnel from that thing...

luckily I was on the other side of the room when he started doin his thang... the only part I didn't like about the show was that they mixed the tunes too quickly... they kept going into huge breakdowns one after the other with practically no good chuggin subby beats for up to 45 seconds sometimes

even just smoking a bunch of weed and listening is a trip :D

I haven't really found any other psytrance yet that compares to their music... I know they're the most commercial psytrance out there, but they worked hard to become as good as they are

Infected Mushroom is in a league of their own, if you pay close attention to their sampling, sounds almost real, in which case I'm guessing their library consist of real intruments for production. Sounds so damn crisp. The artists I mentioned are more of dj/producer types, their sound is very similar to hard dance just follows the psy trance structure.

heh i totally agree man. i love how when they do live PA, erez plays all the crazy piano live, and its perfect. and its not played from a cd, i saw his hands. he would also play other tunes and make them up on the spot. crazy shit.

ive seen them twice, and when they come again, i'll be there.

yeh i've got a bit of Astrix stuff, not bad at all. Some of my other favourite psy artists include freq, sensient, gms, talamasca, dark nebula, penta, xenomorph, digital talk, and a lot more... I like all styles of psytrance, but minimal/progressive is the better style to stomping around all night to when you're out at a party.

Is there much of a psytrance scene in vancouver? many outdoor parties? i'm moving to Canada for a while next year and wouldnt mind going to a few gigs..

Apparently last time they were here, Erez's keyboard wasn't even plugged in.

Horray for DAT tapes.

I got a Son Kite live in tokyo dvd yesterday. Their music is not crazy psy like astrix but very dreamy. They were playing of a mac, 2 keyboards (didnt catch what they were), 2 dj mixers and a full 64 channel studio mixer. Awesome show!! ;)
