Sonar 4 with FL studio rewired (I like to do my drums with FL studio). I really like the Korg Legacy Collection, Fm7, Kontak, and a bit of V-Station. Waves and all the blue tubes products are great for audio proccesing, as well as the new USR eq package is great. Cycling 76 mode is pretty interesting, havn't got too far into that, same with the pluggo shit.

Gear I use:
*Software* Cubase SX2.2., Reason 2, and assorted plug-ins and v-synths. *Instuments* Roland-MC202, SH-101, TR-606, Juno 106, and Alpha Juno 1, Novation BassStation, V-station, Redsound Darkstar, Quasimidi 309 (fully expanded) *Effects* Boss SE-50 There are many other peices of equiptment I have sampled such as a Korg MS2000, Bass Guitar, etc... I have ears like a cat. Recently I picked up a Cubase Max install DVD, if you have a chance to get it, pick it up. There is 4.38gb`s of Cubase software on this disk, holy shit! |

^^I'd have to say it does, mainly because u can use higher quality plugins with it. Not a fan of the Fruity Sampler or Fruity MPC. No problem, just plugin battery or Kontak and presto, much more flexibility then Reason. Fruity also can handle rex files with no problem. The only reason to stay with reason is cause that's what u know best and will get the job done. Just like how I've stuck with fruity, cause it's what I know (still better=P).

The disk was free of charge.
The software bundle includes: Cubase SX2.2, S.F. 7, Every Synth imaginable (Novation, Moog, Native Instument, Korg legacy etc..), Mastering software, Plug-ins (Mastering, Effects, Surround, etc..) Samples, E-books, and more. I also have Reason 2 on other disks and a couple more disks of synths, software and plug-ins. In the end its all shit, I`d rather have an Atari running Cubase Audio and my synths through a decent pre-amp into a 24bit sound card. |

I had Cubase SX3, but went back to 2-point-something because the release of 3 that I had was really buggy.
My soundcard/control surface is a Tascam FW-1884, nice little thing with some power to it and motorized faders. Right now we use Ableton Live 4 to set up our live PA jams and also as a rewire into Cubase. Plugins we use most often: Battery, Kontakt, Stylus, Trilogy, Atmosphere... I have a little Micro-Korg synth I use to get phat bass sounds... a Kaoss pad for live effects and modulation.. I have a few different MIDI controllers.. a pretty decent mic collection which includes Rodes, AudioTechnicas and Shures, and everything all goes into a small Mackie 12-channel board. |
