I do listen to NMH.... I'll have to look into a few of the other bands you listed... especially the Ishkur approved Chromeo!

has anyone heard of the frames? They're really great! they were the first band in a decade or something to beat u2 out of "the best irish band" award for some irish awards dilly dally.

Yep, with Yellowcard. I'm going to that show if I can get the evening off of work and only that because I've been asking for quite a bit of time off lately (or evenings off). But I really want to go to see them.

The Stills are an amazing band, I remember catching 'still in love' on the wedge well over a year ago and checking out their other stuff which is just as great.

^^ That's a really good list, though DJ Shadow isn't a band... For that matter neither is RJD2 that someone mentioned earlier.

Right now I'm listening to Stereolab's album Emperor Tomato Ketchup. Highly recommended if you like the Doors or the Dears.... And while I personally think they suck, bears an interesting resemblance to Belle & Sebastian...
