I don’t remember the last time I had someone reccommend a song/band to me..I do to other people all the time. But i understand where your coming from interms of not fully appreciating the music, but i think it's all up to the person and what path they are on in their life. I try not to generalize music because each person is on their own little journey of mind you know?...And even though i may not understand 'why' they would listen to what they are, it's like their own spirituality...where their mindset is, and who am i to argue with what get's them through the day and inspires them. I guess i am an elitist though, unfortunatley...but if i meet someone with taste i just dont understand ...sometimes ill repeat something like "this person fully appreciates who Jim Morrison is" .”we have had long heartfelt discussions about the lords and the new Creatures”...over and over in my head as he or she is telling me about buying the latest three doors down album (no offence to you three doors down die hards out there). It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that people would rather listen to Ciara then this Norwegan band who’s name I cant pronounce..or Blink 182 rather then Black Sabbath or something.. But give it a few weeks....and i usually end up making random reccommendations to people, in a hope to help them move along the musical obsession train. Because hell, i started out with the Moffats hahha..hate to admit it, but hey..gotta start somewhere...but i've learned not to force it down their throats....even if it is the most amazing brilliant thing they will have ever heard...haha. It's an addiction...it’s love, and it’s in us to give...SO GIVE PEOPLE GIVE!!...*sigh*...spread the seed of wonder dammit, it’s what makes the world go round.
