Back before I was a techno guy, I lived in New Brunswick for 21 years. My band in college used to busk on the boardwalk in Miramichi or outside the bars. We played lots of GBS songs... great stuff for accoustic guitar and three-part harmony. We made decent coin and met tonnes of girls. :) There's even five o'clock news footage somewhere of us singing "The Old Black Rum" in a park one afternoon.
I've got a huge soft spot for that style of stuff. Hell, I have a book of Stan Rogers sheet music around here somewhere, and if you get me drunk enough I'll sing you "Barrett's Privateers", lol. (/me cues up some Stan Rogers mp3's...) |

They sure are! ;) I don't really like great big sea, but I've got a weakness for singing in gaelic and the sound of a fiddle, grew up with enough of it i think it's grown on me.. |

I's the Guy that rows th'boat, I's the Guy th't sails it, I's the Guy that catch th'fish, I's the Guy that sells't!
Atlantic Canada is rad. I used to have a couple Great Big Sea CD's... Nothing like listening to them with a large pint of Beer and some Fish&Chips. |
