... and holy fuck it was AWFUL!!! the mids sometimes would peak in a really fucked up way that killed my ears... and with the subs the bass would totally mud out the track... and the overcompressed drum tracks... the horror! if I was playing any of those tracks out I would have cut the track immediately...

*sigh* fuck I really wish I had a clue about this mastering shit... looks like its time to labour my tracks again... and re-due shitty guitar parts with pops in them :( time to freeze all those tracks AGAIN and mix them down AGAIN...

The trick is to spend a lot of time listening to music you *know* is mixed really well on your monitor speakers. :)

My favourite is Prodigy's 'Fat Of The Land'.
