Resurrection of the hipster thread: favourite bands of late

my discovery from the last one of these that i felt good to mention was kula shaker (i think gusto mentioned it among like three other bands i really like). and i'm definately feeling the decemberists...

everybody's up in arms about wolf parade, i dun see what's so special...

I saw !!! (chk-chk-chk) at the Plaza a couple of weeks ago, they're fucking wicked. and their opening band was really good too: shout out out out out.

picked up a blue quarter cd recently, not bad...

bedouin sound clash is getting big, too... like a lot of their stuff.

how's this for weird synchronicities..... (talking about kula shaker...)

so i'm flipping through google trying to look up some of the history/etymology of my last name ("leckie") and i came across the wikipedia page for John Leckie. turns out the guy produced kula shaker's album 'k'.

and on the exact second i loaded the page, smart dogs came on my random party shuffle.
