satallite radio
I am looking at purchasing satalite radio and I was wondering what all of you thought about xm, compared to Sirius. I am thinking about going with serius because it has been around longer and I want to buy a portable unit so that I can use it in any car or in the house, please help, I have no clue

I'd rather pay for a HD Deck. Do they even have those? I don't know but that would be pretty nice, untill it gets jacked |

i'm sorta considering satellite radio too. it's be awesome because i'm lazy. i don't wanna spend my time downloading and burning or transferring to a mp3/md player.
i use my home computer about never. the beauty about satellite radio is no commercials and i can get some real randomization going on. how surprised can you be of a song you put onto the list? by definition you'll never get anything new because you have to go through or filter every song for it to be on your ipod/computer/burned cd. not to mention for me, it'd get tons of use at work. this isn't the radio you know. this isn't commercial packed crap, with goofy announcers trying to be funny playing the same crap every half hour. i'm just not digging the mounting hardware in cars that i've seen. |

i was close to buying sirius a few days ago, cause i really want to have bbc radio 1 in my car all the time, i love the essential mix. but i don't really like the way the players look, until they can make one that looks more like an ipod i think i'll hold off and buy myself a lcd for my car.

nice what other type electronic radio shows can we get on XM satellite radio. That would be tight if they setup some sort of DNB arena radio station in London or something.
They aren't going to play Howard stern's new radio show on XM satellite in Canada . |

I'm totally into getting satellite radio. I spend 2 hours a day in the car commuting, and listening to the same ol' shite repeated every half hour on the radio is brutal! I would love the chance to have some uninterrupted, musical variety. Who knows.... maybe it would calm my road rage :punch:
Definitely looking at Sirius over XM. |

but eighty five theyre probably even be a hardstyle channel so u can rave it up in youre car.
I dont mind paying 12 bucks a month for that service mostly if u get a portable unit, then u can listen in youre house or if youre in another buddys car |

i heard its better to pay for the service in the US (using a US PO box for your mailing address) since you get more channels and better coverage....anyone know more about this?
personally i'm leaning towards an integrated sirius head unit cuz i'll mostly be listening to it in the car and they got howard stern (or was that xm)? |

I am also interested in the po box from the states, cause I heard that Howard Stern was not going to be allowed to play, but I also heard that breaches our charter of rights and freedom and he will be allowed. Another great feature on the sattalite radio is that if you like the artist that you are listening to you can save that name at the reciever will tell you when he is on next no matter what station that artist is on, pretty cool. Ya satalite radio is here to stay, whether people like it or not

andm ore channels for US.....there's like, 6 music channels more for US, all things I wouldn't listen to anyways, US traffic, and some US news i don't get. XMfan.com for XM radio info, they have a forum called "across the broder" that explains the benefits of getting a US subscription. I just didnt feel it necessary. |
