door locked... lights out... stereo going.... girlfriend.... sweet sweet lovin'.... Tool we might be going to the Seattle show to christen the album if I can work my work schedule around it... which would be equally as awesome... |

To be honest I don't care for the new album .. give me some METAL dammit!
I sorta thought that it would sorta grow on me after a few listens, but it didn't really. overall it was pretty boring. that's just my opinion though, I'm not a h-core tool fan or anything. |

personally I like the idea of a "less-metal" Tool... still haven't heard the new album, but I'm hoping it explores more of the psychedelic atmospheres that were being approached in Lateralus...
but then again, I'm one of the five people here that enjoys ambient... |

I think there's a couple really good heavier tunes and I can't agree with whoever it was that said Maynard seems to be straining on his vocals. It sounds very much on purpose to me and not because he can't. Now that I've listened to it through a few times and gotten over the 'OMG...new Tool!' aspect I'd say that it's still a damn good album that places itself somewhere sort of in between 'Aenima' and 'Lateralus' musically. |
