House heads (defected news)

Possibly the most successful & respected label in house music, Defected Records was established by Simon Dunmore and Janet Bell in the UK in 1999 with a strong influence from the US house scene. Having released records from the likes of Bob Sinclar, Kings Of Tomorrow, Roger Sanchez, ATFC, Loleatta Holloway, Martin Solveig, & many more, Defected has gained recognition the world over as the leader in house & garage hits. With many releases being swept up for major label licensing, their A&R skills are nearly unparalleled. This vast catalogue contains more essential, dancefloor smashers than we care to mention. And if you’re still hungry for more, check out sub-labels Fluential & ITH. Beatport is extremely proud to present this outstanding collection for your listening & dancing pleasure.

Fuck so much is coming out in digital format now its insane!

Digital is so easy, quick, and CHEEP!!! I finaly found the ID for some tracks im dieing to play this weekend... and behold I find them on Beat Port, down load and am listing to in my car the next day. Pluse it only cost me somthing like $15 for 7 new tracks!!!

Almost every major DJ is using CD's and Mp3's. In minutes they can send or recieve a track just being made, convert it to mp3 and burn it. Instead of waiting weeks or months for it to be pressed on vinyl and delivered.

tha's cool. defected is dope for sure, buying a shitload of new genre is nice when doing it digitally.

i have no problem with digital formats, but personally i'd rather use a record to handle the track via serato or final scratch... i can't stand using cdj's

I knew someone would post something like this.

Not all of the Defected tracks are available to us though, because of territory restrictions.

I love vinyl and much rather use it than cd's or mp3's. The sound is also alot warmer and its much more hands on. However digital is much faster and cheeper. So its not somthing ill ignore... however if its a good track that ill use enough ill deffinently get it on vinyl if I get the chance.

^^^I just hope your bitrate is over 128 Kps or I'm going to have to kill you. HOoooHoooHAHAhahaha.....
Seriously, do me a favour and don't spin mp3's. For the love of god, the quality that goes into making a good track needs to be fully expressed through the proper medium, especially during live performance.
CD and Vinyl offer excellent performance. Vinyl is better, you can actually see the grooves. In my perfect world, vinyl would be 24 inch!
