thats cool! Work in progress? I could think of about 15 or so mcs i would add, considering the context of the artists already put up.
As i was scrolling down, i was thinking to myself, "i bet el-p gets left out" just as i found him near the bottom:) |

both are talented in their own repsect, but...
talib dropped off after reflection eternal. that's one album. krs is a self-righteous prick. there was some sort of roundtable discussion about hiphop at harvard this year, and for someone who's interests are so vested in hiphop roots, he had nothing of significance to say. which makes me believe even more that this true school stuff is nonsense. plus, dude wouldnt stop yelling. jay is the only one, who's been in a good enough position where he's contributed all he can musically/politically to the game and been able to say 'i've done everything ive wanted and needed to do. time to step down and help contribute to other artists.' and unarguably, he's done huuge things for def jam in the past year. so i have a hard time seeing how krs and talib can possibly outweigh jay-z in terms of contribution. |

i cant see how jay-z could possibly be influenced by krs himself. jay-z started rhyming in '94, barely a year after krs started his solo career. krs' most influencial solo albums werent even released until '95 and '97. |
