Goldfrapp is pretty killer vocal house these days. Tough to really find much vocal house that isn't electro... Some classics that scoured the top40 kids many years back: Bob Marley vs. Funkstar Deluxe - Sun Is Shining Pete Heller - Big Love Armand Van Helden feat. Duane Harding - U Don't Know Me speed garage and old hard house anthems usually go over well too. 187 Lockdown, DJ Jean, Blow My Whistle Bitch... And if you really wanna get them going Scooter - Raving I'm Raving |

Wow. No mention of Song 2 by Blur?? For shame.
Dance remixes of rock songs would probably go over well. Like that Max Graham remix of Yes' Owner Of A Lonely Heart or Sander van Doorn's go at The Police's Message In A Bottle. Or you just might end up pissing off hardline rock fans. ;) Songs that worked well in the small town bars I've lived in included: Any AC/DC (natives loved that shit) Daft Punk's more known songs CCR's more uptempo material Billy Idol - Mony Mony Beastie Boys - Fight For Your Right Beastie Boys - Girls New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix) (no, REALLY!!) That fucking "I Will Survive" song... gawd, but the girls adore it... |

uh, go to raves much?
christ, i'd hate to hear how you guys would handle an acid techno set. see, i just don't like dancing to satisfaction because imo it sucks. nothing to do with the fact that it uses a sample. btw, if you really wanna hear something funky check out the Who Made Who rock cover... seriously... |
