Daft Punk Live @ Coachella 2006 video
So i grabbed this off the internet.
Holy shit.........what I would have done to be at this set. I always have liked daft punk but after seeing this video and what kind of stage show they do....yea, if they come to the west coast anywhere in the future, i'll attend. I grabbed it off mixing bowl, 800 some odd megs. There's also a high quality mp3 of the set. |

All i can say is....when a lightshow actually SYNCS and is predone to the tracks....then lsers and fucking lights are oustanding...not this PNE massive bs let the green laser do whatever. They splice vocals of one of their tracks onto basslines of another, and then repeat in opposite ways....flawless mixing...outstanding stage setup, they're dressed as robots as per normal (helmets, no headphones, interesting). Outstanding, I'm placing the mp3 (256kbps) onto the ipod and listening to it on repeat for the next few weeks. |

this set is pretty good! I found it pretty hard electro most of the way through (no complaints). some great sampling and crowd tease! opened up with the Close Encounters, great way to set the stage and synthesized into first track. major 'around the world' tease in the opening 15min. top mix of "harder, better, faster, around the world". highlight would be the Death Valley ala Undertaker intro into One more time. Mint. Daft was certainly on a tare. I just can't figure how they mix in their crazy space masks.
anyone else take a swing? http://www.snyx.com/music/Daft_Punk_-_2006-4-29.mp3 |
