The Listening Room Collective is now accepting demos for the 2006 Listening Room, coming this year on September 9th. We're booking five acts for the main stage, with the possibility of five more acts for a second (much smaller) stage.

We're looking for original live electronic music, and we'll consider any style. Bookings will occur in mid-to-late July. For more information about the show, please see the website, http://listeningroom.ca.

Please send email to demos@listeningroom.ca with a link to your MP3 demo, along with a description of your act (number of persons, stage space required, equipment, etc).

oh and just to give you a heads up drew.... Eats Tapes who is labeled with Tigerbeat6 will be in the pacific northwest around the time of the listening room. They are an acid techno duo that is just simple astonishing... Saw them at the brickyard last september when they were touring with kid606 and knife handchop and they completely blew me away.... Never heard so much good acid like that... And the rig that they haul around is absolutely intense...

Dammit, I thought I posted here. :(

The Listening Room 2006 is cancelled. :( The planetarium has raised their fees a bunch, and the organizers of the Listening Room do not wish to double the ticket prices.

It sucks, we know, and nobody is more disappointed than us. Keep your eyes open for other quality events from the Listening Room Collective in the future.
