I think everyone has a few songs that make them get all emotional, whether they like to admit it or not.

I'll start.

Brian McKnight - Everytime You Go Away
Backstreet Boys - Show Me The Meaning (of Being Lonely)

Whitney Houston - I will Always love You (my grandma chose it to be played at her memorial service, I always start crying in the first 30 seconds)

Massive Attack & Portishead - Protection (reminds me of all the screwed-up and doomed romantic and platonic relationships I've had)

i was walking downtown vic a few months ago and a piper was playing it and me and my mom both stopped and started crying.

heh its funny cause I am compiling tracks that I am gonna be doing a downtempo / chillout mix.... has massive attack and portishead and morcheeba in it so far.... christ you guys will probably be balling your eyes out...

it doesn't really choke me up per se, but "gravity" by apc, "10,000 days" by tool, and "stairway to heaven" by led zeppelin are very powerful

Haha yeah I guess, I don't know I find it somewhat therapeutic.

If you're looking for good downtempo and trip hop I recommend checking out Lamb, Goldfrapp (older stuff), Terranova, Jay Jay Johanson, Archive -
If I was at home I'd make a really great list but I'm not so I don't have access to my music.
