thom yorke from radiohead's solo album
eraserhead comes out today! so excited. i've been starved for radiohead stuff for awhile now. can't wait until their new album comes out, but i've heard that yorke's album is pretty wicked. going to pick it up today.
anyone heard it yet? |

yeah, OK computer was a great album...but i love the direction they are moving in with combining electronic with rock. Hail to the Thief was amazing in the combination. i hope they continue on that path instead of moving backwards to more traditional sounds.

I've been enjoying this slew of 90s rock musicians that have been going solo as of late. Les Claypool when able to explore more instruments than just a guitar and drums alongside his AMAZING bass playing has simply flowered since Primus' demise. Saw him at the Commodore and he fucking owned.
Thom Yorke's album being equally decent, i'm really waiting for maynard to come out with a solo album now... |

^ That's pretty terrible, they're an amazing band in fact they're tied for the #1 spot along with Portishead on my list of favorites.
Great song writers - very innovative; their sound completely resonates and each album is so strategically planned out. Check them out! |

my favs gotta be Black Swan and Skip Divided. i really like almost everything on there, but those two stick in my head after i hear them. the dudes at radiohead are one of the only bands that consistently one-up themselves with every album, i think. johnny greenwoods solo album was great, too. that one he did for the film bodysong. it's definitly weirder than Yorke's. |

I never completely got into 'hail to the thief' because I felt they played it really safe on that album. But I can see some of the similiarities |
