Imagine A Life Without Raves
Imagine a life without raves and Electronic music. I wonder how much different my life would be without it. It scares me just thinking about it. It be like a scary nightmare.
The only music I can listen to 24/7 is Electronic music. I met the best friends and amazing people at parties, memories I wouldn't trade for anything. I hate when people say they hate raves and Electronic Music, they don't know what their missing. |

Chewy's right, but my life sure would be different...
What would I be listening to? Hip hop all the time I guess... I would never have met my boyfriend :( (sad thought) or many of my favorite people. I probably wouldn't have tried the same drugs. I would have gotten more sleep as a teenager. I could have avoided a few bad relationships by not meeting them in the first place. I would be a much crappier dancer. etc etc etc |

I'm sure life would be OK without raves and electronic music due to the sheer fact that we wouldn't know anything about their joys if they didn't exist. I had a life that I enjoyed prior to going to my first rave.
However, now that I know about raves and electronic music in the way that I do - I'm sure it would really hurt if someone took both of those away from me. Then life would feel empty. |

True
If we had a life without them, we proably wouldnt care because we wouldnt know about them! If someone were to take them away now, yeah that could hurt! Interesting to think where we would all be in these regards right now if it wernt for the electronica scene!!!??? |

ok i'm all down for good tunes & a good party, but RAVES as we know them today are absolutely the worst quality entertainment, and at a rediculous price too. the music is horrible, the audience is trash, and it's a field day for pervs and sketchy drug dealers. next time your at one of these things, give your head a shake and take a look what's going on around you. it's WACK. the only reason i know is i've been booked to DJ at a couple in recent years. seriously, if you think your existence would be somehow lacking without these shitshows, you need to get out of the 'burbs and experience life a little more.

yeah I agree with you. I don't know about the others, but I was thinking past tense as in how my life would have been without the raves I went to when I was younger. not to mention there would be pros as well as cons to a life without ever having been to one. |

Some of the best parties I been to were raves "Simple 4, Wett, Heat, Twisted 03'/04', Spooky 7 (life changing experiance), APEX 03', Creamfields 03', IMF 04', Grand Finale, Dooms Night 2005, Sinful 2006".
I'm so glad I got a chance to experiance all those awesome parties and the privilage to party at a venue like The Plaza of Nations (I miss that place so much). |

sure i've had some good times partying at raves when i was younger (talkin pre-'95 here kids) but i never would've thought of it as life altering experience or had any trouble envisioning life without it. it wasn't ever some crazy phenomenon, just a bunch of like-minded peeps who liked to dance & party and weren't getting what they wanted in Victoria's bland club scene. we were partying all night with Djs in warehouses before we ever heard the word 'rave', that was just the tag that stuck when we started reading about similar things in UK dance mags. by the time 'rave' became a household word, myself and most of my peers had moved on to other things. it used to be a safe place for freaks & outcasts to connect, dance, and enjoy good tunes & non-judgemental company... now it's the polar opposite.
