How do I fix my IPOD =(

Last night I was adding some songs to my IPOD.

When I opened Itunes a warning came up saying to update the program, to the newest version. At first I ignored it, but about 10 minutes later the program froze and was acting strange.

So I downloaded the update @ http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

It had me plug my ipod into the computer, and I believe it actually updated the ipod's (and itunes) software.

After all that, eveything was was working fine. I was able to add all my songs onto the ipod, I can even see them there.

However when I try to play the songs it will not read them just skip through them in a second
track 1, track 2, track 3, track 4

The songs aren't erased cause on Itunes it reads them and says how big the files are, they just won't play!

I will die without my ipod! I hope someone can help!

sidekick will become famous soon enough
try restarting your ipod. i think you have to hold down the centre button and the play button for ten seconds. i'm not sure on the buttons though. whenever my ipod has fucked up this has worked.

if that doesn't work then you might have to reformat your ipod which means you're going to lose all your music. but if it's on your computer then that's easily fixable.

sucks, dude.
