Actually as far as immigration goes we need it. Our population versus our land mass is not great enough. Combine that with a low birth rate and we need more people. The vast majority of people coming to Canada are legal imigrants that bring a lot of money with them and create greater prosperity for us all, you have heard of taxes right? Have you even looked at what it takes to leagally immigrate to Canada?

Actually the EU has many aspects of multi culturalism built into their newly founded constitution. The fact that a fringe minority are racist does not even nearly reflect the overall mood of an entire continent. By the way the EU's embarce of multi culturalism has been so successful to this point that they are poised to be the next super power culturally and ecconomically. They already have a higher standard of living than the US, a stronger currency (much stronger might I add), and represent the largest integrated trading block in the world. This while having among the most diverse and tollerant cultures.

If you even are a real person and not some idiot trying getting a rise out of people then I truly feel sorry for you. It must be hard to walk around a place like Vancouver that is so diverse in constant fear of strangers that happen to be the wrong ethninticity. I'm not sure that such a racist attitude would be very accepted or helpful any where but of all the places to live, you're fucked.

As for the rest of us we'll keep enjoying the many bennifits of enjoying other cultures.

Try and use that line on the people of Detroit who I'm sure are just thriving due to 'diversity.' In the history of the world no society has openly sought to make itself multi-cultural.
