This group recently found themselves sitting comfortably alongside The Neptunes, Freeway and Jill Scott on the influential Urb Magazine Next 100 list (at #45). After guest appearances on Canada's most credible DJ compilations (DJ Serious' Dim Sum, Mastermind's Volume 50: Street Legal), it was when BrassMunk released the 2001 Juno-nominated, guitar-fuelled headbanger “Live Ordeal” on Montreal-based Audio Research that everybody; from thugs, Dr. Dre dick riders, out-of-touch suburbanites and ravers to suit-and-ties, skaters and snowboarders started talking about their progressive, live-wire hip hop sound. Their latest animated video "El Dorado" (featuring Ivana Santilli) can be seen all over Muchmusic and MTV Canada and you can check out Brass member Agile's production skills on Nas' new album, God's Son.
