Fort Knox Recordings>www.fortknoxrecords.com The Fort Knox Five have made a huge impact on the international Funk and Breaks scene over this past year, with the release of five critically acclaimed singles on their own independent label, Fort Knox Recordings. FK5 flawlessly fuse live instrumentation with modern electronics to create their signature funk driven sound. They have brought their top production style to a slew of party rocking remixes for the legendary Tower of Power, Dr. Rubberfunk, Dynamo Productions, Rodney Hunter and Mo' Horizons - and have been called upon by the godfather himself, Afrika Bambaataa, to produce four cuts for his upcoming album on Tommy Boy Records. With a unique DJ style that ranges from eclectic downbeat to upbeat funk and soul breaks, the Fort Knox Five have travelled the world with stops in Russia, Germany, Hungary, Holland, Switzerland, Canada, and everywhere else in between.  Fort Knox Recordings is a new renegade funk n' soul imprint, from Eighteenth Street Lounge artists Thunderball. Exploring the funkier side of all things breakbeat, Fort Knox doesn't pigeonhole itself into one tempo or genre. The Fort Knox Five are composed of Steve Raskin and Sid Barcelona, along with longtime musical compatriots Rob Myers (sitar and guitar with Thunderball / Thievery Corporation), Jon H (JonH and Raskal) and Steven Albert (drums / guitar / bass with Thunderball / Thievery Corporation). "Dodge City Rockers" is a funky hip hop flavored breaks track for dancefloors. All Good Funk Alliance turn in a bombastic chunky mix. The EP is rounded out with a smoked out downtempo cut. "Dodge City Rockers" made its debut at the Miami Winter Music Conference 2003 to a large crowd reaction. Currently getting played by Quantic, Simply Jeff, and the Vienna Scientists. The "Foundations" EP is a mix of funky breakbeats, reggae influenced downtempo, a Latiny hip hop instrumental and a drum & bass remix of Sister Nancy's "Bam Bam".

i wouldn't doubt that something is in the works...
One thing I did notice about Jon though was he looked like the most bored DJ I've ever seen. He had the entire club bouncing and dancing and yet he looked like he was doing his taxes behind the decks...
