the party is called sensetion white to copy the trance massive, they also want everyone to be wearing white, because they are planning a massive lazer show that will change the color of the crowd, the bass will literaly move you....
they have alot of tricks up their sleeves, and I will have limited $25 tickets for sale...

I could careless if this was a trance party or not. I'm not whining I'm just stating the facts that if you not going to have acts such as Erick Morillo (House DJ) and Benjamin Bates (House DJ) than don't bother with it.

I'm really just asking for a logical explanation. Second of all to rip off one of the most respected companies over in Europe makes no sense without their permission. Sure I can understand you guys would want to have a show that's almost a replica of the original Sensation White, but atleast respect ID&T for what they have done to establish that name.

The promoter has to change the name from "Sensation White" to something else. Cause there is no way this party will even come close to being like the "Sensation White" in Amsterdam. Also, "Sensation White" has a Trance theme to it, not a House theme.

I understand the promoter want's people to wear white, so the lasers can change the color of people's clothing and all, but don't use ID&T's name. They deserve more respect than that. Call it "White", oh I forgot its at Plush, so white won't work, I can see many pissed off.......................

As for the teaser headliner, I never saw her live, but I heard her stuff and she's pretty good. I wouldn't mind checking this party out, if the line-up is good, then I'll defenitly be buying a ticket from you. Sound's like a good clubnight, maybe not the best clubnight Vancouver has ever seen, but defenitly a good one. The price is good too.

would it not make sense to maybe tell people whom these surprize UK headliners are???Or are you just expecting people to fork over $35??hmmm..kinda sounds silly..I don't think I have ever paid over $10 to see Honey Dijon and that was at some of the largest gay clubs in Toronto ..hmm it was at IT nightclub and Fly if I remember right..So I hope your headliners are pretty good..everybody in white and Honey Dijon ..Sounds more like some of large gay circuit parties they have all over..So who cares about comparing it to some trance party..

Dont forget darling, that first of all its Toronto... in Toronto u woudnt pay more then 5$ to see Aphrodite, or more then 10 - 15$ to see Sanchez, or more then 5$ to see Capital J!

in toronto, the scene is at least two X bigger then Van...
and for Van, to pay 25-55$ for a event at plush, is mormal thing to do..
and the bad part about all this.. that people DO pay 50$ for a club nite.. that last 4 hours! i'm not sayin its not worth it... but if u live in Toronto, u'd NEVER pay that much..hopefully van will get to the size of toronto one day, so noone has to pay that much for a club!

Just in case anyone forgot it flopped...

For real though, why is it that new promoters come to town and have to try and put on the biggest, best night ever? They try and accomplish this without knowing any history about the city or even the current tastes of the scene.

Tobacco sponsored events aside I can tell you right off the bat this isn't going to even come close to Scratch Tour, a handful of Lime events, several PH1 events, and many other events that have been done. Why? First of all these guys are starting from nothing here. They are new in the city and have no fan base, in other words any success they do attain with this night will be on some else's coat tail. They haven't built this scene up in any way. Secondly I couldn't care the slightest bit if "Sensation White" is some big party in Europe, we're in Vancouver after all, but apparently they've managed to piss off a lot of people by using it. So at this point you guys are playing catch up, as in starting from less than zero.

At this point I feel like a bit of jerk for pissing all over your parade. However I'm not going to ignore the disrespect shown by this whole mess. We might not be NY, LA or even TO but it's still no reason to walk in and act like this is some back water hick town that's never seen a laser.

Any publicity is good publicity, especially for a new promotions group. Looks like it's working.

Bad publicity is never good no matter how you try to spin it, that has to be one of the most overused expressions that really isn't true. Thats like saying more people are going eat at a particular restaurant because there was a news special saying the place has cockroaches. I don't buy it.

not quite alla....sanchez is like $25-$30 in t.o.....but at an afterhours club that destroys everything in vancouver...prices are about the same as here, except the guvernement, which is a measly $10...i saw avb there once for $15..lol.....but with 3,000 capacity they can do things like taht... dnb shows are pretty expensive too....
