Current Electronic Music Scene - Good/Bad?

Hey all, I'm the new contributor for the House Music Blog of TheFreshpage and I want to get your opinion on whether you are happy with the current electronic music scene. I have seen it change from an underground scene to a rave scene to a new dj club scene, and would love to hear some feedback. Are you happy with the current electronic music scene? Or would you like it to change? Here is my blog post

I agree those nights are quality, however 1/2 Alive is about as far detached from electronica music as an electronic music night can be....it's designed for the waning crowd!

Let's be honest.....would I rather hear the latest trance track, or some song from the 50s spliced and cut up over a bmore rhythm.

I would be interested to go to a REAL vancouver rave.

the closest thing I experienced to that was Dooms Night 2005.. and the only redeeming aspect of that party was the music. The vibe sucked, alot of the people seemed like they were just there to mind their own business. What kind of attitude is that for a "rave"?
