Hieroglyphics in my opinion is a very smart Hip-Hop headliner to bring and I know for a fact they love comming to Vancouver. By booking the whole crew you get a package of headliners that would sellout a club with just one performing. I'm very sure that theyre booking price is fair and I hear theyre comming out with a new album which makes it likely that theyll be hitting the road promoteing it.
Besides Hiero , J5 - if youve seen them live youll fully agree Krsone - wishfull thinking Roots - the board has made its case on these guys Outkast- would be sick I have to say though I doubt Twisted will choose any of these acts though. |

what the hell do I know im just a stupid trance guy but dont any of u remember Summer Love last year. It sucks to say but hiphop does not mix at rave partys. Not trying to be negative but you will defintly not bring 5000 people indoors in the summer time to the PNE. the sterotypical RAVE in a non-raver's eyes =Techno not hiphop

id like to see z-trip at a party...oh wait he's playing at usc 7 theres alot of hip hoip dj's and acts who have the talent and the style to mix in well with the atmosphere of a rave thre reason summer love sucked is because it wasn't a rave. |

I totally disagree..... now normally i wouldnt just disagree about anything but seeing as how i have been to raves in Toronto , London , Amsterdam , Barcelona , and now Vancouver i can honostly say that HipHop has no business being in the "rave" scene as well it doesnt belong there its two diff types of atmospheres as well it is just not the right vibe i think but hey! I aint trash talking your statement thats just what i believe from my previous experience Cheers! im out... |

hip hop is good to chill too and a breaks/hip hop room would be a dope stage to have at a party if you just wanna chill out and groove in the morning. if they had some decent hip hop like dj krush, shadow, craze, ztrip. i mean shit look at dj's that play hip hop and jungle liek matt the alien, there sets are always tite. hip hop would especially be good in the beginnings of a party to get a crowd warmed up, or in the morning when everyone is sketchy. fuck man, matt the alien's set as twisted was dope once he stopped playing jungle and played hip hop..the hip hop he played in the morning was just what everyone needed. |

Hey man dont take it personal i am just giving u my personal preferance and what i believe like i said i am not trash talking just relaying my opinion I love hiphop i used to throw parties in Toronto where we had canibus come in for hip hop as well q bert, Jr. Flow and the Executioners man believe me i know what throwing a good rave party is about and hey its all about preference right?? And another thing i wanted to add in What do u mean jungle is not a rave type of music man Without jungle there would be no such thing as raves just a party with techno music and people getting high on who knows what...in a big room with pacifiers and glow sticks.... JUNGLE makes a rave actually called a RAVE Cheers... |

i dunno i just prefer breaks and house over jungle, and in alot of instances i would prefer to hear some dope hip hop being played at a rave then some teky-tek techstep jungle |

Ohhh deffinately they do belong i enjoy breaks too i am a czech fan as well so i dont really mind breaks to much at all i am not a fan of house or techno but yes ofcourse they make a rave an actual rave ofcourse they are the original beats that were considered rave music but when it comes to hip hop i think that it has no place at a rave cause it is too slow for the type of atmosphere. But like i said i am a hip hop fan i luv it but if i am asked if i think it belongs at a rave then i think not at the parties i threw in Toronto when we had hip hop deejays what we did was put it at the beginning of the show to warm people up.... Cheers... im out.. |
