IMPORTANT Annoucement about DJ Swamp at Spooky
Hi everyone... my apologies for the delay on this post as in all honesty, we have been on the phone with Swamp himself and his agent to get down to the bottom of things. --- Those that know me, know I am a straight forward and honest person which is why I am posting this -- I am also the kind of person that wants the facts before passing the info on to anyone else.
THE REALITY: We have discovered that Swamp was double booked for a show in LA. -- He was offered more money and an immediate deposit of that money a few weeks back and in light of Summerlove and his booking for that show being cancelled earlier this year (thus wondering if this show was going to have the same fate), Swamp decided at the last minute to cancel his booking for Spooky. -- This was news to Azim, Salim and I and frankly we were floored that we at least didn't get a call or an email! Unfortunately, we are now officially and regretably informing you that Swamp will NOT be at Spooky this year. We do have a firm commitment from him and his agent for a booking in the very near future so stay tuned on that. MOVING ON: Like you, I was looking VERY forward to seeing Swamp at this show... no better show is perfect for such a performer as him than Spooky. Having said all that, we have chatted with The Bassbin Twins and advised them of the situation and they are stoked! -- They are looking forward to playing an even longer and LIVE set for Vancouver at this show. UPDATE ON THE SHOW AND ALL OTHER HEADLINERS: EVERYTHING else is a go. All deposits are confirmed received and flights are booked for all of our DJ's coming into town. Either it be Lange, Rank One, The Thrillseekers, Olav, The Bassbin Twins or the Incredible Melting Man, Azim/Salim have called to double ensure, everything is a 100% a go and it is. VENUE UPDATE: The entire Spooky team drove out to Chilliwack yesterday to finalize the setup for the event... you can't fathom how BIG this fricken place is!!! -- I drove out there and leaving Yaletown at 9:30AM on Saturday morning, it took me exactly an hour to get there driving about 110-120km/hour. I think it was exactly 98km to the venue from downtown here. We have a great setup in store; ALL four rooms are for sure a go and we are certainly not letting the fact that Swamp isn't coming, stopping this show from going on. The truth is, the show is still STACKED with awesome headliners in every room not to mention roughly 40 locals!!! So... let the countdown begin as SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES IN... 5 DAYS!!!

I am super dissapointed that Swamp will not be there, but I'm still so stoked for this party!! I am the most impatient I've ever been I think :c-tard:

i'm sure u've seen the other threads as some idiot has been tryin to say that we've all been fucked over. now we all kno!! As for that asshole i hope he's fuckin satisfied that KRAIG HAS REPLIED. Didn't we tell u he would tell us all about everything eventually IF Swamp was cancelled and now he did!!!! Kraig we appreciate your honesty.

heh, swamp = chumpass. He does all kinds of narsty shit to the sound techs (like not saying anything into mics that are turned on and working, getting a tech up on stage and then POOF all of a sudden the mic works, or playing on 12s with brand new needles, saying they're broken, again, sound tech comes on stage and "fixes" it, doing nothing, and all of a sudden they work again)
aaaaaanyways, kraig, sorry man, that sucks, but w/e, it's still going to be off the heezy fo sheezy :D... whos doing your production anyways? not massivescam i hope.

PegasuS - I appreciate that you very much wanted to see Swamp (as did I) but the reality is, he isn't coming. If he was the only reason you were coming, my suggestion would be to sell your ticket as I am sure you will have no problem doing so.
Thanks for the support and kind words all. Obviously in no way is Swing Kids Entertainment or Twisted in no way "scamming" partiers or putting a DJ's name on a flyer in an effort to increase ticket sales. Hell, if that were the case, I would have put the Plump DJ's down!

^^i agree..especially for announcing the news as soon as you guys found out. i know i personally respect reading a thread like this 5 days before the party a lot more than finding out at the party and seeing another dj playin at the timeslot.
wutevz, like everyone said its still going to be a great night with the other talents coming in town and from the locals. im quite excited! extension of bassbin's set and olav? hellz yea im happy. and for those who have are changing their minds on their tickets, im sure if you really wanted to get rid of it and sold it off at the price you bought it at.. there will be lots of buyers lining up. you shouldn't have a prob selling it off. happy early halloween!
