VERY important things about NYE 2004

Hi all... just some things to note about our New Years event at the Plaza of Nations coming up in less than 2 short days!

1.) Get there as early as possible... Truthfully, the event is close to selling out and we want to make sure that those that wish to be there for the countdown at midnight, are inside in ample time!

2.) Get there early anyway (are you sensing a pattern here)because there is SEVERAL New Years related events in the surrounding clubs at The Cave, The Pier and also an event in the outside stadium at Plaza that will be finishing up as well. -- This will make the area VERY busy and thus take a bit longer to find a parking spot close by... again, just give yourself more time to find parking at all that stuff.

3.) Bring coats and umbrella's... COAT CHECK SERVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE. The current weather forecast is rain/snow with temperatures at around 1 degree. We will do our best to have as much tenting up as possible but please, come prepared for the cold and the rain or snow.... again, coast check will be available on the 2nd level of the venue.

4.) For VIP ticket holders - we will start to let VIP ticket holders in between 9:30-10PM allowing them advance time to get into the venue. It is still to the advantage of VIP ticket holders to get there as early as possible to avoid delays in getting through the doors. Music will not be starting until 10PM.

5.) I have mentioned it in previous threads and even in this post but again, the event is close to selling out. Having said that, the Fire Marshal and Police Chief does have over-riding authority at the door. If you decide to show up after your favorite club closes at 4AM and are denied entry because the Fire Marshal thinks the venue looks full, WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THIS REGARDLESS IF YOU ARE A TICKET HOLDER OR NOT. Basically, get in as early as possible to avoid any possible complications.

ok, i really hate to ask a question like this, omg, i'm such a newbie, i dont think i've ever been to the plaza before...all my friends are telling me its outside... well covered.. but still open... Is this the same room where this is taking place? I wouldnt think so.... Its closed in, or some kind of heat source will be on? Right? if not, i guess i'm dressing VERY warm....

hehe, the plaza is indoors.. it does have an outside area which is sometimes used for concerts, but the nye rave will definately be inside

that would be insanity if they had a rave downtown vancouver...thats just askin for trouble..hehehe...

they gotta contain the sketchiness indoors. =-P

THE PARTY IS COMPLETELY INDOORS however you will be waiting in line outdoors which is why we suggest dressing warm for the line!

A NOTE TO THOSE ON THE GUEST LIST
Everything I have mentioned in my first/original post also applies to you. If you decide to come to the venue at 4AM and we are to capacity, you will also be denied entry. PLEASE ENSURE YOU BRING PHOTO ID WITH YOU.

i have no choice; but i cant be at the party any earlier then about 2am, if i am denied will i be able to get restitution for my ticket?

Alright kids... listen up... T-MINUS ONE DAY TILL THE MAIN EVENT.

I just got in from checking out the venue and it looks fucking great... sounds good too!

Just a reminder that there is a seperate party going on in the outside stage of the Plaza of Nations. PLEASE DRESS WARMLY as parts of the line will not be under cover as in past parties. We are renting tents but this will be primarily for VIP ticket holders.

PLEASE DRIVE SAFELY... its slippery out there! The weather report is cloudy with showers tomorrow evening so bring an umbrella!

Swamp is in town... I picked him up myself and he is pumped to play... from the sounds of the CD he gave me, you guys are in for a helluva show. Dopey, GTR, Pulser are also ALL in town. Mike Downey, Dig Dug and Sir Kutz arrives tomorrow!
