Just a couple of things
Nigel I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this entire topic.
All the arguments you pointed out are rubbish except Nike which i can't stand (ie cheap labour and evil tactics). 1) The cd is dope...tight mixing, good track selection and a smooth flow throughout. 5/5 for speed garage. *For other peoples music it sure sounds good. You have to understand the relationship between an artist and a dj. An artist can make the track but who the fuck is gonna play the record and make it popular? The radio? Wake-up man it's the way it is and always will be. You sound like you're trying to discredit all dj's in some form or another. Scott does produce his own shit too. It's part of the BUSINESS. 2) I was at that Victoria show (right before him in fact)....if you weren't there you can't possibly have an opinion on what u didn't see. Nuff said. 3) People pick a lifestyle and go with it. Do you think he's gonna throw away his choice because u feel he's rippin people off? Palllleze. 4) What's with all this ripping off crap? Who's he ripping off? Don't go to his shows if U feel RIPPED off. 5) Wasting a shitload of $$ at a Vic show? Is that even possible? The highest ticket price I've ever seen is $30. How does that = a shitload? $30 is a shitload if your occupation is a NIKE shoe factory worker in Thailand. 6) I'm gonna keep throwing shit over the fence at you if you keep dissing my hobby, my friends and talking nonsense. :snyx: |

Ok...
I won't go into great detail about the show in Victoria but lets just say I ended up playing 30 more mins than I had to. I knew something wasn't right when I talked to Scott and I stalled as much as I could. People make mistakes and sometimes having too much of a good time can ruin one's concentration.
As for saving money and not supporting certain shows I'm all for it. There's nothing wrong with saving money. I don't believe in buying tickets for every show. If there happens to be a dj you like than one might shell out the $$ and have a good time. The last time I spent money on a ticket was for USC5 and the one before that was a long time ago. I'm also a consumer and I hate wasting cash on lame things. I also have an opinion and voice it freely on this site. One thing I rarely do is bash other people online. If I have a bone to pick or an issue to raise I'll go directly to that person. You have every right to your own opinion and I'll never tell you different. The only advice I have is to be a little more lenient before you make assumptions. For instance, have a listen to the cd before judging it and try not believing everything you read online. I think we've reached an understanding. :147: |
