Ok buddy, I made a misstake it wasn't just Twisted who threw The Grand Finale, it was Solid and Twisted. Clap, clap for you....................not! I bet you feel special now for pointing that out. I think you failed to get my point from that post, basically what I was trying to say was that Twisted threw more parties than Solid and they were all better than Solid's parties. Except for The Grand Finale, that party was amazing. As for Spooky and Doom's Night, I know Twisted will represent once again and throw a way better party than Solid, all Solid has is a bigger venue, yay lets go main stream and sell out. All they do and their followers is bitch and complain about everything and want to seem better than everyone else well sorry dudes but that's not going to happen. As for research, I been raving ever since I was 14 years old (7 years), my cousin is DJ Echoplex, I grew up on this music, I know all the dj's and I been to more parties than most people, not only in Vancouver, but all over the world.
Spooky is in 10 days!!! |

Everything....... It was the sickest setup ever!!! The visuals and lasers were absolutley amazing and the sound system was bumpin'. I never had more fun at any other party in Vancouver. So much effort was put into that party and it showed. So, many people showed up too, I seen so many people that I haven't seen for the longest time and I got to party with them once again. It was such a amazing party, I loved every bit of it. Also the best tracks were dropped at The Grand Finale :)

BTW.....I'm drunk, so if I say something stupid or something that doesn't make sense its because I am drunk. Vodka and Red Bull, was a good idea, but now I feel sick from all the Red Bull. Drinking on a Wednesday hahaha. Anyways Above & Beyond this Saturday at Plush, then Seb Fontaine at Sonar next Friday and Spooky the following day.

Spooky 9 vs Doomsnight
i've always supported twisted, and i've been partying for last 7 years or so as well, went to so many twisted party.. but was very disappointed to hear how many great djs were cancelled! although i do have issues with trusting Solid, but at least solid is not cancelling the djs that they said they'll bring! and Rick by the way did very good job putting that line up together!
the only reason i bought my ticket to go to Spooky 9, is because Kreg posted a sign saying Total Science was coming...and i would pay just 55$ to see total science, but basicly now i've wasted 55$ (which is not that much, but i work damn hard every single day for that money), and i will have the worst time listenning to trance! cause trance isnt my thing, and if it isnt, then tell me how will i have fun? and of course, and obviously the store wont give me a refund! so thax a lot, my night will suck! Yes 16 year olds do go to Twisted parties too. I guess that's what we have to deal with now a days. Anyways, I keep hearing all this bs from people about how Doom's Night will be better than Spooky. I have high hopes for Spooky, I know some djs were cancelled, but I'm into Trance so I won't mind the music and I know I will have a great time, the thing is thought that I love to party with my friends and most of them think that Doom's Night will be better, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I defenitly hope Spooky will be better cause I don't wanna hear how much better Doom's Night was the next day.

k, sorry to interupt yer arguing...but the only way someone can actually say 1 was better then the other, is to have been at both parties from start to finish...which is impossible since their both on the same day...yes, 16 year olds go to raves, but 16 is a normal age for ravers now, they start even younger i member at apex there was 13yr old girls wearing booty shorts and bra's(theres a pic of it..yikes) that shits just wrong, what do their parents think about that shit...raves should really have a minimum age limit.
main reason people think dooms will be "better" then spooky...cuz its gonna be huge, they think more people = better...spooky will be awesome, SUCH good music, in 2 rooms, instead of having to walk around everywhere to hear who u want, smaller area = tighter vibe... but ya, thats just my $.02 |

its not about the size of room, or size of party for me anyway and several of my friends!
i will be spending all night in one (two rooms the most) which will be d n b of course and breaks (only if breaks and/or d n b isnt good, [which i doubt]then i'll go check out rest, funky house will be my 3rd choise, i love my funk). for me it's all about who i see and what i pay my money for! i work so hard every singe day to earn that money, and when i throw out that much, i wouldnt want it to be a waste, and in that case thats what i feel right now, is that i wasted my money! I don't understand why people feel a need to try and sway people to either party. I think both parties are going to be a good time and I think everyone whos out on Halloween is going to party hard so no need for further discussions on it. Spookys a tradition and Dooms is going to be something new to check out if you are so inclined. Hey people remember this scene was built on the goodtimes not the negative polatics that's going on these days!

Plush is a great venue!!! awesome!!!
but not for ravers! it'd be nice if the bar was open, then it'd be different situation! Quote:
