I just like to be comfortable when I dance and loose fitting clothing is always preferable to avoid overheating. Plus running shoes = less painful feet by 4am so that's always a winner... ...most serious clubs in Europe are aware of these issues and the dress code is MUCH less formal. It tends only to be bars and shit cheesy chart music clubs that want the whole shirt and shoes combo. I guess clubbing gear would be ok? I'm not really into the whole candy raver thing so I don't own any of that either... ...I wonder if Armin would appreciate a bow tie?? ;) |

Thanks again for all the replies - it's much appreciated. At least now I hopefully won't get turned away at the door for looking like a hippy... ;) |

What were you hoping to find here other then bars and "shit cheesy chart music clubs"
If you're hoping that here is anything like the European club scene - you;re about to be majorly let down. The rave scene is literally dead and anything other then that requires you to wear a collard shirt and dress shoes. Take your pick dear. Side Note: I personally wouldnt go anywhere that doesnt have a "dress to impress" dress code. I dont really want to spend money to be around people that look like they just came from Walmart. |

I'm not too fussed about what people wear just so long as they're there for the atmosphere and the music, and not just to get drunk and start fights for "looking at them". If they're friendly happy people, I wanna meet them :) |

I didn't own anything along those lines until I was 21.

Any person I've ever met from the UK, usually know's their shit about parties, dj's, the business and god - I love living vicariously through them. Plus you get a hook up if you ever go travelling for a place to stay and most likely the best partying you'll ever check out. |

Basically, far too many people are concerned with the way people are dressed and not concerned enough with the quality of music and company at their $6/beer venues. In my experience, it's the people that are less concerned about dress code and more concerned with having a good time that are the most fun to go clubbing with. I don't need to hear a guy worrying about ruining his $80 shirt when we're out on the town... dancing is not meant to be a photo opportunity. |

Gee...thanks :embarrest:
Don't underestimate yourself... That Walmart comment really hurt! But only because it's (sadly) true... Actually... I'm more of a Marks Work Wearhouse kynda guy, but I have a feeling that's even worse... :push: Hope to meet you out in Vancouver sometime :) |

There's (almost) nothing better than clubbing with good friends - and dance music is the ultimate social leveller. It's opened up my world in so many ways already, I just can't wait to find out where it'll take me next... So many different people from all walks of life, from all over the world, there for one reason... ...Fucking awesome |

My 2cents: Gorgomish sucks. You won't get in unless you have girls with you, and last I went cover was over $20 for guys. The soundsystem is good but the music is boring, a redbull will set you back $7, there's no booze, and it's full of sketchy characters and cokeheads (and not the laid back fun kind, more the stare-you-down kind), not many people even dance really, just smoke in the stairs and hang around. Blech. If you're really ramped up to party and have nowehere else to go it can be bearable but honestly 9 times out of 10 if Gorg is the only option I'm going home to bed.
