I think anywhere you go your going to get local and tourist/foriner prices... you just have to except it? I dotn think it was that much more... sometimes you could tell they where out to lunchand I would luagh, but hten a lot of prices where still cheep in our curency and a fair deal. I found sometimes the "vultureness" helped... I remember numorouse times looking for accomidation or taxis and they would all swarm us in desperation begging us! We could name any price and someone would probly do it lol.
I do wish we got out in some much more remote areas... cus yeah when you find the places where thais shop and hang out It's so dirt cheep!!!
