all i can say about Absinthe is that wow amazing... i took 3 glasses and was totally tanked. Me and a couple of my friends decided to take a walk to this trail nearby everything seemed to melt into the other, the dog poo on the ground looked like liquid... wierd but enjoyable experience

thats what my friends thought, but it was like water running down a stream... dog poo that slowly turned into a trail of water to me, so i have no idea if it was diareah most probably was

thanks alot, im going to calgary soon to pick up cheap liquor and it is on my list, all i know about it is that supposidly the czech republic brands have the original formula etc? i dono, ill just go by word of mouth and hope for the best

The problem is the absinthe sold in North America ( even the hardcore canadian version ) uses southwood as the active ingredient. It's trippy and intoxicating but it's not a psychoactive . if you ever want to try "real" absinthe, as in the version from europe and can't get a decent import here's what to do:

go to Urban Shaman or Spirits Within ( both are located at 375 West Hastings ) and buy a few grams of wormwood. You then soak the wormwood in strong alchohol ( look for 200 proof ) for a week in the dark. Drain out all the wormwood and you have authentic absinthe. Be careful because it's a powerfull hallucinogenic, I'd try it under supervision for the first time. Do not eat wormwood! it's toxic.

some of them do, either not as good or they use another ingredient like posted above, his method of making absinthe is correct and will literally get u fucked outta your mind, and watch out for the wormwood like he said, toxic very very bad

wormwood in it's active form ( extracted using alchohol ) is illegal in North America. It's a highly potent psycoative . Anyone who's travelled to europe can tell you how powerfull pure absinthe is.

In Canada , we have the priviledge of getting a close alternative, but southwood isn't hallucinogenic. It is potent enough to be banned in the US however.

I've had it before... Absinthe shooters! WHOOOO YAH MOFUKKAZ! I'm talking to one of my friends who's here from the UK doing his Pilot License. He's got friends that do trucking in Poland and the Czech Republic. I'm going to see if he can get a bottle from Czech sent over here for me. Apparently it's pretty cheap over there. :D

one of the bottles they sell here says "wormwood flavored alcohol".. FLAVORED.. i was disapointed when i saw that and didn't buy it.. actually for $70 i probably wouldn't have any ways

where do you get 200 proof alcohol?

absinthe is responsible for me climbing a huge fence and ripping my pants and breaking into an outdoor public pool and going skinny dipping at 2 am.

i know it wasn;t "real" absinthe ... but it was hella fun anyway!!!

woodworm sells for about 2-3$ a gram. The shopkeepers at Spirits Within or Urban Shaman will tell you everything you need to know to make it.

please take some caution with this though, I don't want to read about kids that killed themselves by trying to follow some sadistic poster on a FNK site .

^Actually it would be wise to do your own research and look for a proper method online. Compare the recipes and look around for a good one.
