Technically, speed = Amphetamine, whereas Crystal meth = methamphetamine.

I haven't tried amphetamine before, but the general idea I get (also from the differences I've noticed between MDMA and MDA) is that amphetamine is alot less headfucky than meth. It's just straight up hulksterish.

MDMA = feminine
MDA = Masculine

I'm pretty sure meth vs amphetamine follows a similar sort of pattern.

Here is something I found:

Meth, is a type of amphetamine. The "meth" from Meth-amphetamine comes from the chemical name "methyl". The chemical Methamphetamine is composed of an amphetamine molecule with an additional methyl group attached to its nitrogen (amine group). A methyl is one of the simplest atomic groups which can be added to a molecule: it is a single carbon atom with a set of (usually) 3 hydrogens.

Basically meth is Speed added with more chemicals. even the molecular images are nearly the same.

Amphetamine carries a molecular formula of C9H13N while Meth Amphetamines carry a formula of C10H15N.

One thing of note is how at one time amphetamines used to be legal, and also Amphetamines can also be used to treat A.D.D (attention deficit disorder), and A.D.D.H ( attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).

Here are some other Amphetamines... Ritalin, Dexedrin, and Adderall.

but its not though lol. i'm not saying it because its a good thing, i'm saying it cause its true. though one or the other are pretty harmful.

Basically here is a better way to look at it. Speed use to be sold in diet pill form. A lighter kind of diet pill. *anyone who has seen requiem for a dream knows what i mean*

meth is speed with more chemicals in it, to allow for a LONGER HIGH, and MORE POTENT HIGH!!

along with more effects such as all the things associated with sketch (hallucinations, paranoia, skitzophrenia, not being hungry etc)

"Speed" is a general all-encompassing term for amphetamines from what I understand. MDMA is kind of the bastard child of Speed because nobody admits that it's speed. Rytalin and all the other Anti-ADD drugs are considered speed. Hence why all those whiny rich kids who buy rytalin off the ADD kids in high school for stupidly high prices and shove it up their nose are commonly referred to as "Speed Freaks".

Jib is _a_ speed. But there are many others.

Amphetamines are a class of drugs.
Methamphetamines fall under this class.

Ephedrine, Thermaline, Methamphetamines, etc are all forms of speed. And correct me if i'm wrong, but methamphetamines are a biproduct of ephedrine.
MDMA is under the amphetamine class of drugs.

Kenji is right, methamphetamines have been used in the treatment of attention deficit disorder and in cases of extreme obesity (.5mg - 1.5mg max dose). I don't believe they were methamphetamines, but a product of the methal(insert suffix) family.

MDMA Increases activity in the central nervous system, one of the qualitative properties of an amphetamine type drug.

Ice is like a higher purity form of methamphetamine. Its a more recent version of crystal methampheamine.

Its more rampant in use in japan and asian countries.

Not really made here, because the meth we get here is not nearly as pure as the ice oversea's, in japan and china.

pretty much though ice is meth just a little better quality

No, they do prescribe actual methamphetamine to people. Except its Desoxyn, not meth... that makes it legal and good or some shit.
