So, my home girl from van was here last night, we took her back to my house to smoke one... i grab my *oh so luscious* sidekick (my bong) and she's all, how do i do this?

and then she told me she'd never smoked out of a glass water bong before.

I'm like rrrrrrrrr -what?! *eyes wide*

So do you guyz just not smoke out of water bongs much? or whats the deal? Cuz i also realized I've only smoked out of ONE bong while in vancouver, and it belonged to a guy who was originally from the states anyway.

Homies? Any thoughts?

Well both.. Mostly up there people are just rollin doobs. I just haven't met any pot smoker HERE that has never smoked out of a bong.

I have a serious love affair with mine and wouldn't give it up for anything. Well, except a better bong. hahaha. It was just kinda shocking she'd never smoked outta one.

she must either be fresh to the whole pot smokin scene, or her crew arent into the crazy tools. Most of my buddies prefer joints too anything. but we all gotta hit that bong once in awhile, if not for the feeling, then for the charm, that good old bong charm. good god damn! i bet its due to lack of experience in her case. but most of the americans i know either smoke from pipes or bongs, i think its because if you know what youre dooin you can conserve pot and down there its cheap booze expensive pot, and they think joints waste weed, whereas up here, i smoke doobs the majority of the time but still own a nice glass bong, but most novice pot smokers will smoke joints cause its the norm.

Thank god. I was gonna be like SHIT YA'LL ARE MISSING OUT. I can't live without my bong. hit it in da mornin, hit it in da evenin.. ahhh yeah. I pretty much only use my glass water bong too. its totally the way to go.

Bongs seem much more like an American thing... when I went to school in the states, I had no idea what a bong was - I had always smoked joints. I had barely even used a pipe before I lived in the states...

This is teh phenomena of which i speak. I just don't understand. I mean seriously, its crazy, you get SO MUCH MORE STONED from bongs. People down here def DONT smoke enough doobies. im all about em, but i'm like one of the few girls i know that can roll dece doobs.

we always have weed/hash/oil

so we bong/doob/knife

id say we probly use a bong more at frazers house, but doob more at levis house :)

Bongs are for living room stoners. people who dont have to worry about getting water or spilling it in transport...
myself i have generaly speeking been a nomadic stoner. we used to vernture off to some arbitrary location just to smoke there, mabey see what happend along the way :)

over all id say i would like to smoke doobies more often than the other methods, but i have always had a weak spot for my pipe. i like smoking my pipe more than most everyone else i know.

I brought my bong to stompin in da woods, (a 3 day festival) and phoenix fest (a 5 day festival) both out in the woods. who's to say bongs arent for transport!?

i lvoe pipes bongs and weed accessories. and yes tons of people have bongs but i think its just more convenient to carry your rizzlas on you and roll one up instead of carrying some hunking peice of plastic/glass around.

oh. ps; the reason i dont smoke out of bongs anymore is because they sit you on your ass too much. ide rather smokea blunt [ :190: ] to my head and have tons of energy then smoke a bunch of bowls out of a water bong [ :088: ]; they always make me so fkn tired

Bong is considered semi-hardcore up here, considered casual down there.

My guess would be that has to do with the respective potency of our buds (although seattle probably gets most of its shit from us)..

But in terms of the rest of the USA.. why not take massive bong hits if what you're smoking is 1/10th the potency of BC bud?

I don't deal with bongs (mostly) because it just gets me waaay too fucked up.
