WTB: new Fido phone (no chip/no contract)

Today I ran my Fido phone threw the wash, thus ending an era. So I figure use this chance to upgrade. I need a Fido issued phone w/o chip or contract. Just the phone. Anyone have one or happen to have a dealo w/ a store. Please let me know!

Any cell phone that is NOT locked to a cell provider will work, and if not, a quick trip to Metrotown and a few bucks and they can unlock it for you.

I have a Sony Ericsson k70i which I bought off the Classifieds section, and it was already unlocked, and I went to fido, got a SIM card, put her in and it worked fine.

Sucks that you washed your celly though.

depends. I would chip a few bucks for a temp phone, anything
otherwise I may budget some crash on payday and go big.. if worth

Well I once washed my fido phone let it dry out for a week and it came back to life (sortof) everything came back except it kept saying no network so i retruned it to a fido store and they just gave me a new one
