does sound awsome..but i hate the ppl in deepcove...when i lived there it was an awsome place for canoeing(sp?), hiking, diving, and doing mushrooms=) heheheheh(sorry i was in grade 12) tho... if you love snowboarding and u have a tone of coin......this would be a good place to live...very peicefull and u need to have a car...

being from the north shore and selling our place a couple years ago.........that price is f'ing UNREAL!!!!!! i can't even comtemplate how someone would sell sooooooo low. they could easily slap a couple hundred grand on that!

i'd love to live downtown.......but investing in a piece of land will get you way further than over-paying for some tiny ass condo that has zero land value!

a condo in vancouver is actually a wise investment. there arent any other major cities in n.america with prices still so low, they will sky rocket eventually or when we get closer to the games.


if you can give me the addy for the deep cove property i can check its assessed value right now and see how much of a deal it is or if you are asking too low.

^^^^ that is very true. just sayin' if ya have the money to invest in land......that's where your going to make a bigger profit over say a condo or appartment. better long term investement, IMO!

we sold our 1800sqft, 20 something year old house on riverside drive in north van for $475,000 almost 3 years ago and we didn't have nearly a quater of that land. my aunt lives there now and was given an estimate of about $620, 000........thats unreal! they've made almost a couple grand in such a short period of time. i guess it depends where this house is........but i haven't seen prices like that come from that area in a LONGGGGGGGG time!

thanks. that sort of sparked my interest...........i guess maple ridge/pitt meadows is the place to buy......hahaha. i looked up the sutton group north vancouver listings and the price difference is unreal! some of the north vancouver homes were a lot more reasonably priced than i thought but all the nicer areas are right up there! i guess i'm using my comparison to people i knew from highschool that moved and bought in north van(including myself)! and i was lucky enough to live in an extremely nice area so i guess i'm comparing to higher end homes which in the listings seems to make a difference of up to $200,000!

hahaha, i'm a dork........i'm the referral! :) i just hadn't heard of prices like that in so long but then again like i said i'm comparing to what i know from personal friends that have moved from probably higher priced land areas!

*edit* so all in all i jumped the gun...........this very well seems like an appropriate price! :)
