Not me, cool guy. The best way to meet someone is through other friends... that way you can get an idea of the type of person they are without going into it blind... not that i'd expect you to know anything about that... :( yeah

i got a phonecall from a lady by the 5900 block of hastings ( thats like holy fuck all the way in but fuck nowhere in regards to where i live) and she said she saw him.. i went there and gave her a description etc.. she said it was most likely him .. he was sneezing and hungry looking.. i dont know how he could have traveled that far (we're talking like 5-6 km) and i hope if it is him that the spca picks him up soon. because i really want him to be ok. i dunno. i dont even know what to think. if i never get him back i just want him to be ok. but i want him back !

well, your cat has been gone for over a week now, so i think he could have easily traveled that distance by now.

5 to 6 km divided by 7 days = 0.72 to 0.86 km traveled a day.

a cat can easily do that.

you also mention that he is an indoor cat, so his sense of territory would not be as developed to that of an outdoor cat. therefore, once he got out he most likely lost track of where he lived, wandering aimlessly into the outside world.

i really wouldn't rule out the possibility that the cat that lady saw was your cat.

^go into that area later in the evening, bring his kitty treats, food bowl, any toy that makes noise and keep your eyes and ears open.

did you posters that far down? if not throw a few up in that neighborhood to see if anyone eles has seen him.

like i mentioned before in the thread, when i take walks late at night i always see cats hanging around in the neighborhood that i have never seen before.

i have also heard a story of a kit's cat going missing and being found in east vancouver by the pne.....!???! so anything is possible.

also, cats sleep 16 hours a day and are known to be most active at night, so try that area again closer to nightfall and who knows? you might just cross paths.
