I got all four of mine out at once. I seriously live about a 5 minute walk from the place I got them pulled, but they refused to let me leave unless someone picked me up. If I had family in the Vancouver area, that would probably be no problem, but I don't. I finally convinced someone from work to pick me up, and all was somewhat well.
I got a pretty high pain threshold, but it was pretty shitty for about the next week. I didn't get any prescription painkillers (I just popped lots of extra strength aceaminophen(sp?) before work, and none afterwords), so I'm sure that contributed. But I basically lived off of one meal a day. I'd force myself to eat a painful lunch, and then after work consisted of drinking some chocolate milk and staying awake until the pain made me pass out (in other words, I stayed away from the painkiillers). The only thing that made me feel good during that week after (warning: I do not endorse nor condone such actions) was popping e and raving one night. That was seriously the best feeling of my life. After almost a week of non-stop migraine headaches, there's nothing like the feeling of being high as a kite, and being totally pain free. The next day sucked as always, but those few hours were like heaven. Now, about three months after having my teeth pulled, I don't regret the pain I went through for that week. I'm almost entirely painfree in my mouth, an the migraines I was getting for a while are completely gone. It was worth the week of pain and bullshit for sure. |

ooh I want to share my wisdom teeth stories!
I had my bottom two pulled out a while back. The thing was that because they were in so deep, the dentist had to crush the tooth and pull out the pieces. Local anesthetic, took a few weeks to properly heal. Pain, etc. I recently had my upper two teeth pulled out, again with local anesthetic. The day after the pulling, I had a final essay due AND an exam. I did both and did well. 2 Days later I was dining on pasta at some restaurant in Gastown. I guess the first experience really prepared me for a really speedy recovery the second time. |

Found out I'm going to have to get mine pulled. Hell, one of my wisdom teeth is coming in sideways! Like, LITERALLY HORIZONTAL in my jaw!
I'm not experiencing any difficulties with them now, mind you, but I'm being recommended to pull them now before any complications develop in the future, making things very miserable. Of course, since I haven't had problems with them in the past, I was skeptical about needing to do anything. But, seeing the X-Ray of one of them LITERALLY HORIZONTAL (that just completely blows my mind! How does that happen?? How does a tooth even GROW in your gum like that!???)... well, time to eventually bite the bullet on it, so to speak. Thank god my Dental Insurance finally kicked in. |

I didn't get them pulled. I have to see a speaiclist. 2 more weeks and bye bye teeth. Good new though, my sisters dentist didn't make me pay to have my teeth cleaned :) |

heh I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out.... They had to freeze me up like 16 times.... Took more time to freeze me then it took to take them out... was kinda gross in the process.... didn't feel anything but something I wouldn't want to experience again...

I just got all 4 out a week ago. I was knocked out for it, so it was nice to just go to sleep and wake up with it all done. I did have considerable pain for 4-5 days, but the T 3's and prescription anti-inflammatories helped a lot. I lived on mr. noodles, jello and raspberry applesauce cups. But I went out for dinner last night and it was sooo nice to chew normal food without pain. My jaw is a little sore still, but the pain is gone now. :)
