Wisdom teeth

Ugh, so I have to get my teeth pulled tomorrow, and I keep getting mixed reviews of if it hurts or not...cause it kills at the moment :(
can someone tell me please! :(

I had no problem and there was no swelling or pain after. Got all 4 out.

Some others i know took long to heal and cried like babies. It really depends on how good your dentist is, how compact they are and your pain threshold

Are they putting oyu under? It's not that bad, but you wake up feeling very disoriented if they put you to sleep. I woke up and immediately cried, not because I was scared but because that apparently is one of the side affects... I felt very overwhelmed and suffocated all at once, plus it's weird waking up and not recalling an hour of time at all

When I got mine done, they pulled all 4 at once. They used 11 needles over about 3.5 hours. It didn't really hurt cause I was all frozen up, but it was kinda sore over the next few days.

If you smoke, toke or suck anything regularly, you will deffinitely want to give it up for a few days. If you suck anythig too hard it puts a lot of pressure on the gum sockets, and if you do that too much, you can get dry socket, which appearantly is extremely painfull.

Do not eat anything solid for at least a few days. Stick to soup, tea, or anything that can't get stuck in your new gum holes.

Its my sisters dentist office she works in and she said they are freezing my face. It couldn't hurt as much as it hurts right now I hope. ugh

Hehe, I am so glad I wasn't awake... so much better... if they can put you under, it's way better. But that must mean that all your teeth are grown in?

I quit smoking about 4 months ago, however I do still smoke when I drink, but lately this month not so much.

I'm just nervous, and I live downtown and its in Coquitlam and my bf is working in Hope all week so he can't drive me after...i'm kinda worried about drooling all over the place on the bus more than anything :(

I'm going in to get mine out soon. I've heard the same mixed reviews. I know I want them out though. The way mine are growing in is causing extreme sensitivity in my other teeth so eating has almost become a pain in the ass.

Yeah, make sure you have jello and some pudding for after, you're going to want something to eat after, I know I did, to get the taste out of my mouth

the first wisdom tooth they took out wasnt very painful.


but the second one was harsh. they had to drill away at it n broke it into little pieces and tugged the shit out of it and probly just went gung ho on my gums..
so after the freezing shit wore off, not just my mouth, but my whole head was extremely sore for about 3 or 5 days. cant remember... but I had quite the little affair with tylenol 3s .

Oh trust me, you'll be best friends with them, it's so hard to eat and so frustrating because you're not allowed to eat before and you're hungry after lol

Hahaha, good, although Japanese food is fairly friendly to wisdom teeth because it's pretty much all soft :D

yep I would stir about 5-8 of them into a glass of cold water until they were dissolved.
then pounded that nasty stuff back.

a friend told me his dad does em this way because you dont ingest as much of the acetaminophen (which is bad for you), but more of the codeine.

who knows if this is true.... but it made me feel pretty dandy!

I had mine out but I was awake for it.

They drug you up so much that you're essentially floating around in another reality. It's crazy.

Hint: Carnation Instant Breakfast is awesome for after.

I live in Coquitlam and I had mine done at the UBC dental clinic. I had to bus back home afterwards, with a mouth full of cotton, blood and slobber. I must have looked completely mental, but I brought a book with me and just spent the whole bus ride reading with my head down.

Worse comes to worse you should get yourself a helmet and if people question why you're drooling allover the place, you can tell them you're retarded. Then start running in circles chasing your tail. After that no one will question the drooling.
