Nintendo VS Sony VS Microsoft..who will WIN!?

So with the gaming nation gearing up for 3 NEW and more powerful consoles set to hit us this fall (Novemeber), they all offer something challenging to play with higher graphics and improved gameplay. They all have their multitude of advantages and disadvantages with the habitual gamer in mind, but my question is, regardless of what your flavour is, which console will dominate the war? All claim to be more powerful than the other, but simply Sony Playstation 3 is the game console to go.
I have never really been an Xbox fan...but it will be interesting to see how the Wii will square up against it's competition after doing a huge number of renovations to their unit; ever since their sophomore GAMECUBE was released with little to offer for the consumer (although, saving space with tiny cd's was ok...and the cube...*cough* )

I'm looking forward to the wii's innovation...sure the ps3 is going to look very pretty, but the wii's controller and much cheaper price might just do it for me.

What's pretty graphics if you're not having any fun? :)

I actually wouldn't mind trying to play the Wii...they also rumoured to have a headset that comes with the console(apparently for online use only)...but the game that I am really looking forward to playing is for the PS3: Unreal Tournament 2007 :mexitoke:

^^But I agree...if the Wii offers some really good diverse numbers of games, and not just for the kid in mind but for adults too (which they said they had looked into and forwarded with), their price tag will not be so bad afterall.

I've played the Wii and it's freaking wierd. Be prepared to be sore as you do a lot of holding your hand in mid air and waving around.

Personally I'm an Xbox guy.... good games and stellar online community that Sony won't even come close to touching.

im getting a Wii myself, im not such a crazy gamer as I once was. I do enjoy having friends of little or no experience enjoy the game with me.

I've always loved nintendo, but I do have a soft spot for sony because u can use the games for the previous model in the newer models...and cuz i love DDR. Not a fan of xbox.

PS3 is $600 USD. That is way too much to spend on a game console.

I was always a Sony fan. I did not hate nintendo or xbox i just perfered Sony over the 3. Originally i was not planning on getting a 360 and just wait for the PS3. A good deal came around and some 360s fell off a truck so i picked one up. I love it, its awesome. But i am still hyped for the PS3 cause im a diehard fan of some of the games they offer that other systems dont. (Main reason why i perfered Sony). The Wii i will admit has caught ym attention alot. I always liked Nintendo for their kiddy multiplayer games (Marioparty!) and the price tag and new controller is tempting. Thats why i ahve decided to buy a PS3 and a Wii so I will have all 3 systems to satisfy all my gamer needs.

Wii will be amazing. But the PS3 will be the most intense graphics and gameplay. 360 is alright. Nothing real special. So I guess it depends how many people can fork over the amount of cash for these systems. I would have to put Wii at more overall sales. But PS3 at the most total revenue.

In the end i think we are the winners(price wars, ps3 already slashed price by 1/5), I think that the 360 will gain on the ps3 as compared to xbox/ps2. 360 just dosn't have any wow i need that console titles(halo 3!)

If I had a choice between the three, I would get the Wii because it is the cheaper console of them. But as far as the number of GOOD games that go with it we'll wait to see. I just never really played PS much, but all I know is that their graphics are great...Did you know that Final Fantasy: The Movie, was made using the PS3!? Now you see how the graphics will play along the likes of Halo :)

Nintendo is offering that now.. in fact everything from the gamecube (controllers, memory cards, games) are cross compatible with the new wii.

Annnnnd.. my favourite option of all is that nintendo will be offering ALL the old games (and i mean old.. the original nintendo games) for you to play for free on the wii. SO EXCITED.

(my daddy is buying me one for christmas.. because he understands my nerdy needs and the fact that i'm a broke student who can't afford one on her own! hah so you can come over and play with it!)

Remeber, if you think cost is the issue in your pockets, how come was it that when PS2 was sold out at an impressive price over 800 dollars...so if PS3 is sold in the same price range, I would not expect any decrease in demand for this product :mexitoke:

I can't see myself realistically buying an xbox 360 these days...i bought a ps2 when they came out with the slims and hacked their price.....so I won't be buying a new ps3 right off the bat.

Anyoneknow what the wii's sticker price is supposed to be?

no no...when it first came out it sold for over 800 after taxes and stuff...but the point is that regardless of what price it was listed at, there was a high consumer demand for it..so many people bought it at whatever price it was set at. So just because a console is too expensive for you to buy, doesn't mean there are thousands of others who would not buy that system as well.
