Oh Sushi Oh Sushi...California just isn't the same

Well I haven't really noticed anything that glaring except for the fact it's Americaland. However this certainly changed last night in a hurry.

I went out for sushi and there wasn't an Asian employee in the place. At the sushi bar were two hispanic and the one server was white....the only asian person in the establishment was some annoying mid 30's woman just non stop babbling to her date..the poor guy...anyhow. Usually the places I went to in BC were pretty calm and this almost seemed abnoxious or out of place...America has violated my food :(

I cannot wait until my return to sushi in Vancouver..it just isn't the same

Hopefully if I got the time I will. It looks I only have 3 or 4 days coming for a visit and I have to see my family plus one and than everyone else can try and grab me at will.

they brought out my dynamite roll...never seen a dynamite roll like that before. Had some toppin on it as well...it all tasted alright..but just..no..not the same

i didn't even know that there was such a thing as dynamite rolls. should i have said that the california rolls are probably pretty tastay? or is that another type of roll?

Just my thought but there are actually good Japanese places in the states. You just havn't found them yet. Try San Fransico if you get a chance. Or Portland Oregan haha.

There's good food very where but you have to know where to look for it.

San Francisco is 6 hours away lol but if I'm passing through I will certainly check it out. I have also eaten at good ones....just this one particularly was not cool and I won't be goin near sushi soon :)

I know I know..the entourage needs to let me know where you want to go so I can get a list done. Chuck and I will be up there on Jan 5th Friday...I have dinner on Saturday..We are leaving for Seattle on the Monday morning. My nights are all clear now.
