i think that it's pretty scary that people still see miss usa as a role model to girls all around. i think that the whole concept of 'role model' is contested, and anyone with half a brain doesn't buy into it the way it's fed to the public. Now Mr. Trump is doing the noble thing by sending this girl to rehab. Rehab centers would be A LOT busier if every one of us who railed a few lines and engaged in underage drinking would be sent there.
(Oh, and stop blaming it on the whole US/Canada difference. Even if it's "the Dubya regime", things aren't that different in the pop culture circuit. If this were to happen to Miss Canada, I'm sure the same type of action would have been taken)

The whole rehab thing really gets to me.
She had a drink before she was 21. The Bush twins were caught drinking before they were 21 and they didn't go to rehab. In terms of role models, you'd figure they woule be the larger of the two.
