If you read through the whole thing you'd see that 'grapes' was comparing pretension to the necessities of an artist. I was disagreeing.
That a little easier to understand?
I see what he was saying and I agree to an extent but I don't consider
pretension the EQUIVALENT of art as thats not solely what it's about.

Ya but by using pretension in asserting claim connected with art would be a paradox it's self, unless of coarse one was pretending the PIECE it's self was theirs( which is why I said it was wrong in the first place).
