i just went across 2 weeks ago with a bcid, drivers license renewal and my birth certificate...got totally profiled and questioned!

my own fault for missing it on the news? haha. well for starters I don't watch television and my newspaper pickup ratio is low. totally my own fault for not feeding into the daily 5pm news cast pre '05, doh. your all commercial slaves :p

haha im not blaming anyone (terrorists), im was complaining about the state of the system. I believe im on fair ground to do so, I can complain about whatever the hell I like. you all just eat finger pointing for breakfast. yumm yumm :)

it's obviously the canadian passport system's fault for a) the US implementing this rule and b) not personally calling everyone in canada to informing them of the situation just in case there are people that aren't "commericial slaves"

they are obviously going to have to make some changes, especially since canadian passports are only good for 5 years. (make it ten!)

anyway i'm going to go in on monday or wens, i think it should be less busy then late in the week when a lot of people take time off of work. line pals snacks?

i think he meant flying within the us, and the answere is you don't need a passport to fly in the us.

I don't think you were in the passport office the last three days and saw first hand the way it's managed by chance did you? no I didn't think so. you were busy doing whatever it is you do with you passport packed, ya know, just in case. some of us didn't have a use/need for a passport until now. thanks soo

i think they obviously need to make some changes, and that they could have prepared better considering this has been coming for some time. extend the length that the passports valid, hire more agents, open more offices? they have to do something, people cant go through this every 5 years

i still don't need a passport but i went and got mine in the fall just in case. like has been said, this has been common knowledge for a long time now.
