i was booked to go for a tandum jump last september on my b-day... but it was 4 days after sept. 11th and they cancelled my jump because the airports wouldn't give them clearance or something... FUCKING TERRORISTS
first timers have to take a 4 hour course, and your first jump you're strapped to someone else... you have to be 19 (so you can sign your life away). or u can take an 8 hour course, pay a little more, take a test, and u can jump alone... most beginner jumps only go at 8,000 feet and it'll only be a 30 second fall before they pull the chute... about $200 |

hiya! well i made it! in regards to what bob said... we jumped from 10,500feet and the free fall was for 40seconds from what he told me, it seemed like just a few seconds for me!! honestly it was the greatest thing ive ever done in my life, when you are falling you can see way past all of the mountains... you're going at like 125mph, its just insane, you feel so free, i have a perma grin now!
i wish i didnt have to work right now or id be out drinking! i highly recommend it to any one who can handle those kind of silly antics. |

pacific skydivers is what they go by i believe. it's at the pitt meadows airport. there is also one in abbotsford i think, but the scenary on the flight up is pretty cool at this one because you fly over mountains, and see lots of little lakes and stuff, up by golden ears.
