History of people and this site?

i've read through a few topics, which was fun I thought Canadians were suppose to be sane + conservative, but can't seem to grasp any information or history about the people behind this site so heres a couple of questions:

Ok I know of DJform, who else is behind this site?
How long has site been up?
How long have parties organised by people running site been going?
Where are parties hosted?
Shower or bath?

I guess this forums board harbors intelligent posts, informative posts and all out goofy posts. A lot of the posts are here for laughs, which seems to ignite other similar posts.

As for the site...

We (Kevin-aka Kaos, Myles-aka Snyx and Lex-aka fORM) started this site about year and a half ago. It originated as a dj site then bloomed into a community message board. I guess it's become a place for all dj's/promoters/friends to share ideas and info. We've been getting quite a bit of out of province/country visitors much like yourself who have dropped by either to promote themselves or just check things out.

To answer your questions in point form:

Kevin, Myles and of course the moderators
1 1/2 years being up. 1 year of forums
10 years (could be more) of local promoters throwing parties
Many parties are held at the Plaza Of Nations or Sporting arenas
Shower :)

From what I gather the first organized raves in Vancouver were in 89'. Kind of funny cause I was in grade 3 or something... hahaa.

Oh and Salim (Swing Kids) is the longest running active promoter in Vancouver. He has been in buisness for over 10 years!!!

i think Brent.C has been around longest of BC
he's been spinning and repersenting the underground sound since early 80's
may not of done anything in van
i could be wrong i dont know this
but he has been doing his thing in Vic for along time now

Well kind of close but not really. It's an annual festival that showcases a variety of music. This years genre's include: House, Breaks, Jungle, Hip Hop, Trance and others. In the spirit of the first MM's we have kept on with the other atractions like a giant bouncey castle and other amusement orientated things. These sort of things are great for bringing out the kid in any one. I personally love getting drunk and running/ falling around in the ball pit.

What is different about this years and last years MM is we have added beer gardens to the mix. This is so that the mature partier (+19 crowd) can continue to enjoy coming to our event as they grow older and not feel out of place.

On the MM6 thing looks interesting but why is it such a big deal that there is a beer garden? Is it a teenybopper affair?

and I hate to go against the grain, but hey i always seem to have an alternative viewpoint, DJ Rap is wak, she aint nothing but a limelight seeking wannabee, if any of you do a search on the net for her, it won't take you long to discover some soft porn modelling shots she done in her early days seeking stardom, but then turned to DJin after it became an avenue to find fame and fortune....a 'true' DJ/Producer....don't think so.

we like our beer.

Uhm.. i think uhmm LoungeX.Com was one of the first forums for electronica. Teamhardcore.Com was one of the first places to post quality party info.

Then sometime there was FnK, Xtcity,ElectronicDynasty & Lounge X all popped up.

Most of the people from Lounge X moved to Xtcity. When it went down, then moved onto Electronic Dynasty. Most of the people who were on FnK usually stick to Fnk.

A few FnKs have left for ED :(
