Feeling the new layout?

I like it just fine in my profile, but not in every post. And I'd rather not see everyone else's, either. Is there a way to disable showing them in posts like we used to be able to disable signatures?

It looks great except for one thing.

Please make the events disapear when you are viewing specific threads.

It makes it feel much more like a message board then a forum for dedicated music lovers.

I can tell that alot of work went into this, so GOOD JOB!! It really does look great!!

Im not the biggest fan though.

It's really not that functional. It's slow, everything is huge and it's hard to find things.

We will all get used to it sooner or later!!

too much info on a give page... visually hard on the eye. Nice layout/design, but too much going on within each page in terms of ads, pictures, buttons, etc... which results in too much clutter/visual junk and makes things hard to find/focus on.

I like new shit so right now, after only a few minutes of exploring, I think it's pretty rad!

Oh, and Myles prepped everyone a while back about the new karma system so it shouldn't be this much of a shock.

I'm on the fence. I like the thread layout, but I think the layout inside the sections (the list of threads) looks sloppy and unorganized. Also, the first thread I loaded had to process about 800 items before I could do anything. Hopefully that won't pose a problem often.

All and all though... you guys obviously put a lot of work into this. I definately preferred the old layout overall, but I think the threads themselves look snazzy. I will adapt.

Actually... after reading a few more threads, I'm not a fan of the loading times and everything looks cluttered. I liked the nice, simple, and professional look of the last version much better. It looks like everything is being pushed around by inconsistent image sizes.

^^ I think you are right, but i think if we can somehow convince myles to remove the Events list when you are veiweing threads, or perhps flip it to the right side of teh page, that you will eventually get used to it and like it just the same.

But yeah my complaints are that i dont want to see everyones profile picture, and i think the events thing should be somewhere else, and not present in threads

I think there's too much going on, I don't know where my eyes are supposed to go on a page. It's almost distracting as it seems that everything is just SCREAMING at me.

Couldn't agree more. I can't stand the new layout. It's too white, too big and feels like the organization was made in one person's style not necessarily what would be the best for everyone. The events is unnecessary and the various things to click make things much too complex for what this board is used for.

Bottom line, it looks pretty much like windows vista, but man the functionality of it is terrible. Too slow... too busy
