I'm a Registered Nurse right now (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and work full-time on a Cardiac Surgery unit. I like my job a lot for the most part. I get to meet and work with some amazing people. However, i'm going to follow my passion for women's health and maternity soon. In two years i'll be going back to school to get my Master's Degree in Nurse-Midwifery, so I can open up my own practice (since 1998, in BC you can choose to have your baby delivered by either a doctor or a midwife. midwives can deliver babies independently either at home or at the hospital, prescribe medication and stuff like that.)

I can't wait.
=)

After that i'm going to get my Ph.D. Pretty much because I don't want my sister to be the only Dr. Dickson in the family. Haha.

i'm working in IT, but i'm trying to decide if i want to move into IT management or not. looks like i'll have the opportunity soon and even though i told my boss that a lot of my skills would probably be wasted there, he's trying to push me in that direction. i guess it would be a good career move, but a lot more work, meetings, conference calls and ugh.

I'm half way through a trades apprenticeship as a framer. so basically I build walls and ceilings. if or when this building boom slows down I plan to go back to school to get my CGA or CMA.

actually I'd definitely consider running a hobby farm as a path towards early retirement. grow things like flowers, herbs, mushrooms, and other such things that would be easy to sell locally.

Just finishing my last class at BCIT for radio broadcasting. Concentrating in promotions and comercial writing. Starting an internship april 23rd and one of Vancouver's top stations. They have already commented that they want to hire me.

So that's my plan.

working on a psych degree.
either want to move up to HR or learning/development at the bank i work at, which my bosses are supporting,
or maybee be a lab instructor for psych.
i want to eventually finish my masters/phd, but thatll be a while from now.

hey i work as an electrician to, iwas wondering what brand of wire stretcher you have at your work?

Can you provide a model number , we are currently looking for a new stretcher since ours bit the dust the other week. If you havnt heard of it Im sure your Journeyman will know what im talking about, althought some of them act stupid when you ask. Journeyman can be dicks sometimes
