Really? We're arguing that, I thought I pretty much said right away I was out of line with my comment.

If you really want to argue the other point we can do that, but it's still going to fall under I don't care much for the activities north Van offers. And yes, you could use my example of an Asian market, to make the point that downtown sucks, new west sucks. But couldn't you make the same point with your arguement. We are both stating that there are things found in each suburb that set them apart from other suburbs...

Why can't you just accept that in my opinion, North Van isn't as good as other areas? I don't care much for the street layouts, the shopping, the transit system, the distance it is from other areas (Richmond, Surrey, Coquitlam etc...

Some people just don't like certian areas. Some people like certian areas. If this wasn't the case, then wouldn't everyone live in North Van?

coquitlam is really nice. just really hard to get in and out of cause of traffic.

I agree, although I've always been partial to New West, I love the style of the buildings, and the shops and resturants along Columbia St. Plus skytrain is a big plus.

I can usually get downtown in like 20-25 mins.. but i usually drive a bit faster then most people...

Coquitlams actually a really nice place... also have a bunch of lakes close together (technically in port moody.. but a 3 minute drive from westwood plateu in coquitlam).... belcarra , whitepine, buntzen etc..

I also love north van.... I love how clean it is etc... I love hanging out and going to eat in nicer areas like that with my gf... especially in summer, it is extremely beautiful over there.. and with restaurants with patios etc, i would rather be in north van then at a nice restaurant in vancouver

downtown feels too high paced for me.. North Van is my type of place... it's got all the nice features of Coquitlam.. except fewer crackheads (we have a lot of junkies and trailer trash in port coquitlam)

I've stated I don't care for the activites offered in North Van, I don't like the layout, the public transit, and several other things. And I don't think that it's really shifting going from "It's a shitty place to live" to "It's a shitty place to live because it's boring". You are really grasping at straws.

Man, you are really milking the Richmond thing. Which I already said time as an hypothetical example.

Yes North Van has some great activities in you are into snowboarding, hiking etc. But if you are not into the outdoor activities there really isn't much. It's an outdoor based community.

And as much as I hate to defend richmond (it sucks in it's own special way). If you have asian friends and family there, and enjoy aspects of that culture then you would probably like it better.

I really should have used New West as an example, I actully care for that suburb a lot more. Can you berate New West instead?

then again i love mtn biking and snowboarding, and don't really care for over cramped/low privacy/ over populated areas. not to mention i'll be walking distance from the tugs ill be working on. seabusing downtown is so much easier than having to drive and park n' pay, n' pay n' pay n' park. so many milfs over here too!! you can hunt daily.

ps. bears are pussies. at least all the bears ive encountered on trails.

Very well, you win. North Van is the only good suburb. People living outside of North Van aren't living there by choice, simply as a temp solution till something opens up in North Van.

The asian markets was a weak line of arguing yes. I was using it as an example to make a point (if I felt as strongly as you seem to think I do, I would live in Richmond).

However your complaing that my example only list one aspect of Richmond (shopping/resturants), and that I believe that is the only reason to live there. Other then the mountians, none of your replies states any other reason to live there. You have yet to adress the idea, that for someone who doesn't care for mountain based activities, there isn't much to do in North Van.

Using the same line you've used in this thread several times "New West sucks, not enough asian markets", you could apply that to any suburb or city. IE- "New York sucks, not enough mountians".
